In 1997 a great idea is born in the mind of a creative Swiss industrialist with a vision towards the future: to create a “real” waterproof product, a coating that can really withstand the constant presence of water without leaks over the time.
Based on his vision, he gathers a group of researchers of different origins so they can work on the development of a new polymer that allows the creation of coatings until the moment non-existent in this world.
From the intense and devoted work of this group of scientists from Mexico, Switzerland, Italy, Holland, and Germany, is born in a Swiss laboratory the first product of a very innovative series, Sun Glare, the real waterproof product, still only one in the world.
From this first discovery, a 100% acrylic resin, non-toxic, that can really prevent water leaks, follows a series of exceptional products, each one unique in its genre, for determined market niches, ready to be made and distributed anywhere in the world.

Born thus in 1999 as Nasa Coat SA de CV, that has created these new generation coatings.
NASACOAT was established initially in the city of Guadalajara, where it developed all the industrial production processes with support from the University of Guadalajara. After this, NASACOAT moved to the city of Tijuana with the intention to establish a production factory within the frame of the assembly factory norms and regulations.
From there, after going through radical changes in its corporate structure, the decision was made to establish definitely its operations in the city of Colima, and placing in August 2006 its production factory.
By the end of 2007, NASACOAT was already producing its exceptional and unique products, distributed exclusively to all Mexico with rights by the distributor company NanoTec Suiza SA of CV.
